Advice on the Standard Required to pass the Part Two Test of Driving Ability

Introduction

The advice that follows should be read in conjunction with form DL 25. Each element of the form (and the test) is discussed. Occasionally, you will be tasked to complete-written exercises to develop your understanding of correct driving procedures. More importantly, you will be asked to carry out private practice to consolidate training carried out with your trainer.

Please Note

Your private practice is an essential ingredient of the Part Two programme and without it you are unlikely to be prepared fully for the Part Two Test.

You should complete the “Private Practice Record Forms” (pages 13-18 of your workbook) as you carry out your own practice. Discuss your progress and any other driving problems you have with your trainer during your formal sessions.
